My son has been loving our Baby Bjorn Baby Bouncer!
I’ve been so excited for him to reach the minimum requirements as I’ve heard amazing reviews for this Baby Bjorn product.
Before we chose this bouncer, we did a lot of research to ensure it would be perfectly safe, and enjoyable for our son.
What’s the BabyBjorn Bouncer Bliss made of?
We ordered the Bouncer Bliss Newborn Bouncer in the Dusty Pink Mesh design with light grey frame which retails at $350 AUD.
The 3D mesh is made of 100% polyester, and is certified with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Class 1 for baby product, as well as complies with the requirements of the EN 12790 safety standard. This means the Bouncer Bliss is safe for our baby’s skin, and completely safe to use!
What’s the youngest you can use the Bouncer Bliss?
Most baby products have minimum usage requirements based on weight, and height as babies grow at different rates, and preemies (like my son) may develop slower than other babies of that age.
The Baby Bouncer Bliss can be used for newborns that weight at least 3.5kgs, and are 53cms tall, and until they weight 13kgs when in the chair position.
How do you care for the BabyBjorn Bouncer Bliss?
My son drools a lot (guess he didn’t hear breastmilk is liquid gold!) so thankfully the fabric is removable, machine washable at 40°C. However, you will need to use a mild detergent but not any fabric softener or iron it as both will damage the mesh material.
Do babies enjoy the BabyBjorn Bouncer Bliss?
My son does, and at the time writing this he is 5 weeks old. It’s great to keep him happy, and preoccupied when we really need our hands such as eating. I just lightly bounce him by tapping the base with my foot. We also use the bouncer for general play time but we always watch him when he’s in it. As your baby gets older, they’ll be able to bounce themselves in it using their own movements. Because my son has just hit the minimum requirements to use the bouncer he’s not quite at the stage where he can bounce himself.
