Skincare products I actually use, and recommend

I love to try new products but I know that consistently using the same products is important for good skin (among other elements like healthy diet, drinking water etc), and that it's bad for your skin to be jumping from product to product every week.

So here are products I actually use daily, and would 100% recommend. Please note, everyone's skin is different, and what works for me may not work for you. I would recommend doing a skin patch test first! This is not a sponsored post nor are there affiliate links.

I have these two face masks I like to use but it depends on when I'm using it. I do two masks a week: one during the day, and one at night. I do my day face mask using the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle 24k Gold Intense Wrinkle Sheet Mask on a Monday morning as I get ready so my face is hydrated, plump, and ready for work. Then I use the Generation Clay's Detoxiying Charcoal Clay Mask on a Friday Sunday night to remove the pollutants in my skin from just being out, and about all week.

I used to use cleansers for acne prone skin even though I don't get pimples because I found my skin got oily halfway through the day. Turns out it was the other parts of my skincare routine that I've now changed. So I've switched to the Iryna Cleansing Mousse as it has all the moisturising qualities of coconut water, essential oils to make your skin smell incredible, and matcha to prevent premature ageing. It's a fairly new brand but their packaging is beautiful, and products have given my skin no negative effects.

Toner: Natio's Gentle Skin Toner $14.95 for 250ml

I LOVE that it comes in such a big bottle (250ml). Natio's Gentling Skin toner contains rosewater, and camomile, and is alcohol free but does contain perfume. I use this toner because it's light, and doesn't contain alcohol so it doesn't dry out your skin. I use this toner after I cleanse my skin, and before I moisturise for that extra deep clean which is SO important especially if you'll be wearing makeup. When my eyes are puffy from bad sleep, a long night, busy day, or just because that's the kind of day I'm having, I whip out the Peter Thomas Roth 24k Gold Hydra Gel Eye Patches. The container comes with 30 pairs of under eye patches that are infused with 24k gold to reduce inflammation, increase moisture, and reduce environmentally caused pollutants in your skin. Plus the gold gives you a radiant glow afterwards!

Vitamin C Elixir: Fourth Ray Beauty's Raydiate Vitamin C Serum Price $15 for 30ml

This elixir definitely packs a punch so a little goes a long way. They recommend 3-5 drops but I use 1-3 drops, rub them between my fingers to warm it up, and press it into my face for an even, illuminating glow.

I don't wear makeup every day except for brow pomade, and powder on my brows. I use Baxter of California's Oil Free Moisturiser with SPF 15 Sunscreen which contains vitamin E, glycerin, UVA/UVB defence, and is free of fragrance, and parabens on my face. It's quite a thick formula but it doesn't leave me feeling sticky, or oily! I actually bought these for my husband but he only uses it sometimes when it's really sunny outside, and he'll be in direct sunlight because he has sensitive skin.

If I have any dry spots I'll apply a single drop of this face oil (it smells so good) and rub it in until its completely absorbed.

Night Repair: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair $195 for 70ml

I learnt about this product through my auntie, and I love it! I put about 3-5 drops between my palms, and press it into my skin after I cleanse my face, and neck for the night but before my night moisturiser. I'm a big believer of using anti ageing products when you hit your 20's because of how much you go out, stress, diet, and environmental factors.

Nose Strips: Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips $7.29 for 6 strips

About once a month I'll do a nose strip to get rid of any white heads that weren't removed that month through my skincare routine. I recommend using these pore strips over a charcoal strip that you need to peel off as it's less messy, not painful, and does an unbelievable job. You think your nose is clear? Try one of these, and get grossed out by all the white heads or blackheads.

After I brush my teeth I do a lip scrub before I put on my lip balm. This helps exfoliate away any dead skin, plumps up your lips, and makes a nice smooth surface for any makeup you put on it. Because makeup can only add colour to your skin not change the texture.

Stretch Marks: Bio-Oil Skincare Oil $14.99 for 60ml

I used to be super skinny, and then I learnt about squats so here we are. I exfoliate using just coffee grounds, and then apply bio oil on my stretch marks. My stretch marks have all reduced in appearance by so much that I really wish I had taken a before picture to show the difference.

I really hope this list helps people! As mentioned, these are products I actually use, and this is a non sponsored post. If I change my routine I'll share an update with what, and why!
