Sarino's Baulkham Hills: your new afterwork watering hole

Last night I had the pleasure to dining at what is by far my favourite restaurant in The Hills: Sarino's.

Located inside Mullane's hotel in Baulkham Hills, this glamorous Italian establishment is part bar, and part restaurant. It's within walking distance to Bella Vista train station, and with access via a lift.

Once you're inside you're greeted by an old Hollywood style cocktail bar fitted with Art Deco seating such as the dusty pink, plush booths with perfect view of the nightly live entertainment. The bar itself has an extensive range of vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, and more, and Sarino's boosts an impressive 200 wine list. My eyes actually watered looking through the drinks menu with some bottles going for as much as $10,000AUD.

So there's definitely something for everyone whether it be a cheeky night out with the girls, or a romantic night to impress a love.

After our first round of cocktails we walked past the private function areas, and made our way to Sarino’s restaurant to meet the chef, and start our 3 course dinner. We were seated right by the antipasto station with full view of the kitchen.

We shared our meals, and had the following:

Nibbles

Wagyu fat with rosemary candle and bread to dip when the candle melts (psssst! It's better than the famous Bistecca candles)

Entree

Prosciutto, olive oil, and olives

Roasted capsicum with butter

Mains

Noosa spanner crab spaghetti with chilli

Josper grilled Jack’s Creek Wagyu sirloin tip mb5+

Sides

Josper Roasted Andean sunrise potato with garlic and thyme

Wood grilled Fioretto with confit garlic and hazelnut

Dessert

Vanilla Crèam Brulée

Popcorn Ice Cream Sandwich

To pair with our dinner, we had 4 rounds of cocktails all chosen by bar manager Jacob Wicks.

Truly, a delicious dinner, and incredible restaurant to visit!
