Bellabox July Review: Back to Basics

As a Bellabox Reviewer, I had yet another wonderful time unboxing my July Bellabox. This month's theme is Back to Basics!

First off, it can be quite easy to forget about simplistic beauty care when we have all of our expensive ointments, and creams. I for one have an almost embarrassingly large collection of skin care, and beauty products. Not that I have any problematic skin conditions, I just love treating myself to deep, and thorough care!

These kinds of mentalities make it essential to revise our skincare regime every once in a while, as sometimes products stop working on ourselves. Having a subscription like Bellabox is a great way to test out new products, and find cute remedies for our dilemmas!

In this month's Bellabox I received:

  • Baimeni Hydrating Eye & Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid

  • REVO Lip Balm

  • Bioderma Hydrabio Light Cream & Micelle Solution

  • Nail Medic Nail Treatments

  • Gosh Cosmetics Mono Eye Shadow

  • Palmer’s Ultra Gentle Facial Cleansing Oil Mizon Collagen Power Lifting Cream OR Mizon Collagen Power Firming Enriched Cream

Initial Reaction

There is a great diversity of products. Having different potions for your nails, skin, lips, makeup routine, and makeup removal is fantastic! I'm happy there wasn't all just facial care products, but a healthy diversity for maximum me time!

Product Reviews

To be completely honest, I had no idea what this item was as there's no label on it apart from the brand name. Once I learnt it was an anti-ageing product I quickly washed my face and applied! I am an absolute nut when it comes to anti ageing products. While I won't be going in for botox when I'm older, I want to maintain my unproblematic skin well into my golden years.

I found the Baimeni Serum is be very light, and quickly absorbing. While the initial contact was thick, it was easily spreadable to the important facial zones. This thickness is due to the central ingredient of hyaluronic acid which holds up to 1000 times its weight in moisture, for deep, nourishing moisture.

I received the Razzbery lip balm which is packed with conditioning oils, aloe vera and vitamin E! It smelt really nice, and cute spherical case. While I wouldn't put this Revo Lip Bam in my pocket, it would be an adorable addition inside my handbag. Especially in these hard, cold winter months, it is important to hydrate your lips!

Bioderma Hydrabio Light Cream & Micelle Solution

I personally love Bioderma as all of their products are gentle, as they are intended for sensitive skin. While I don't have sensitive skin, I prefer gentler products as I know they do the job right, without wrecking my skin with unnecessary ingredients. Inside this BioDerma package was the Hydrabio Légère moisturising cream and the Hydrabio H20, which is a makeup remover. Best thing about it is that it's no rinse!

Nail Medic Nail Treatments

Absolutely adored this! Out of all the items, this was without a doubt my favourite.

The Nail Medic Nail Treatments come with a Shea Treatment Nail and Cuticle Intensive Moisturiser, ForceField Nail Hardener and Protector, and Nail Detox Cleanser and Primer.

What I loved about it so much was how essential these items are for someone like me who always has nail polish on. Having an intensive, yet simple nail regime is vital to prevent nail no-no's like nail fungus which require expensive laser treatments, or liver destroying medications to get rid of.

It's a nice colour, and would look lovely with my Tarte ShowStopper Clay Palette as a crease colour. However I wasn't happy with how little pigment it had, and required me to wet my brush lightly in order for a richer colour.

I love all Palmers Products. I have never owned a Palmers product that I didn't use until it was completely empty!

The Palmers Ultra Gentle Facial Cleansing Oil Mizon Collagen Power Lifting Cream was no exception! It smelt lovely, and made into a refreshing foam which got rid of all of my daily makeup, and grime.
